In January 2020, my best friend was preparing for the birth of her first baby, a girl! Our daughters would be exactly 10 months apart, (we are 7 months apart) and we were so excited. I wanted to get her the cutest, snuggliest little outfits for her new baby, but then I thought about my own postpartum recovery, and how I had so many things to take care of the baby, but learning to take care of myself as a new mother a task I was wholly unprepared for.
